So much more behind a name, the iGina story

Hi guys! Gina’s the name – and branding’s the game.

It’s safe to say I’m a little obsessed with branding. I take my clients far beyond the simple side of it, offering personal insight – from intense brainstorming to business mind-mapping, products to partners, taglines to entire stories.

Why am I so into branding? Long story short – fast cars and strong coffee.

Seriously! Believe it or not, that’s exactly what got me obsessed with brands in the first place.

Here’s my story.

I was raised as a mechanic’s daughter – it’s quite literally in my blood! My hobbies went from my Little pony to special edition race ready Hondas pretty quickly.

In my early 20’s, I got my first Integra and went from car shows to car audio competitions all the way to Type R’s on ¼ mile and hobby circuit tracks.

My Honda memories are so precious to me that it’s the only car brand I’ll ever own.

The reason I sold my last Type R? My newborn son’s car seat didn’t fit. So, I replaced with a 4 door Honda hybrid. Keeping it in the Honda family, naturally.

My love for this particular special car taught me a lot about brands. I loved my experience, the lifestyle, getting sponsored. And my friends!

Thing is, there are other great cars out there.. but none that make me feel like this brand.

Oh, and the coffee part? I’ll let my personal Starbucks mug collection do the talking on that one.

If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that great brands offer a great experience. It’s about word-of-mouth. Inspiring action. Like…Take Toms. 

I love this brand. It’s a social enterprise and they have a mission that I can 100% stand behind. You bet I have a pair of their shoes.
