Business Struggles? From Chaos To Clarity

Starting a business is hard but, running a business can be even harder. As an entrepreneurial company ourselves, we understand your business struggles so we’ve put together a list of things (some are websites, tools, and even people) to take your business from chaos to clarity.

#1 Evernote is the next generation of note taking

Note-taking is such an important skill to have. Whether you’re meeting with business advisers or clients, and everyone in-between, being able to recall and reference the most important information after the fact is essential to successfully running a business. Evernote is our go-to.

We like this business tool because… it’s a great tool to collaborate across a range of devices and back it all up as you go. Know what else it does great? voice note-taking. Seriously, try it!

#2 Learn about Project Management

There is a range of free online platforms where you can take classes. We love the free courses on Future Learn and would especially recommend their Project Management class. If your business struggles with completing projects to the best of their ability an overview of successful project management may give you a fresh start.

Walt Disney said, “Of all the things I’ve done, the most vital is coordinating the talents of those who work for us and pointing them towards a certain goal”. A good project manager understands the importance of delegation and skills and how to balance them.

#3 Buffer your social media

As a business owner, it’s hard to manage all the tasks you need to do, and social media can often fall to the bottom of the list. Stop struggling to manage your pages and start using Buffer, a management platform that lets you manage all your pages at once.

Buffer allows you to schedule, post, and monitor your social media pages the smart way. The time savings alone are amazing but buffer also creates analytics so you can be sure you’re reaching and engaging with your target audience.

#4 Asana

We at iGina swear by this totally free project management system. Asana allows you to track, forecast and manage projects with ease. The site’s dashboard provides a range of views so you can manage projects in whatever way works best for you- from a calendar to a to-do list.

In 2016 we moved to exclusively using Asana for our projects and love how we are able to collaborate, connect and innovate using this system.

#5 Get Business Project Management

In order for projects to run smoothly, you first need to outline what the process should look like. The iGina team has gone through this process and seen real results for streamlining processes. Through Business Process Management we are able to work more easily and effectively by knowing the process.

We recommend working with Rita Thomasson, she helped us identify and plan out our business processes and we’re extremely happy with the results!

We understand how difficult it can be to run a business, especially working on your business while working in it! Bringing your business from a point of chaos to clarity can be a freeing feeling and we hope these tips resonated with you.

Feeling empowered? Which of these are you itching to get implemented? Did these help with your business struggles?

As always we’d love to hear from you and discuss if your business could use a little TLC.
