A blog post this week from over @ Cali Lewis’ blog inspired me.  She is doing this series on Twitter and in one post, divulved some of the typical Twitter abbreviations and speak. This made me think, and I remembered when a co-worker asked me not long ago what FTW meant. I cried a little inside seeing as it is a gaming company.

So here’s my breakdown of general/gaming/web abbreviations. You should memorize them so you’re not being noobish. /hug

L8R = later
<3 = love / heart
BRB = be right back
FWIW = for what it’s worth
FTW = for the win
FTS = for the suck
IDK = I don’t know
IRL = in real life
TTYL = talk to you later
TTYS = talk to you soon
NSFW = not safe for work
IMHO = In my humble (or honest) opinion
WTF = What the fu*k
TMI = Too much information
ROTFL = Roll on the floor laughing
